Dr. Franz Janik

Borne in 1953 at Illerberg in Ulm, Germany, Dr. Franz Janik finished his academic training at the University of Ulm in 1983 as biologist (Dipl.-Biol.). From 1983 to 1987 Dr. Franz Janik was assistant lecturer in the department of pharmacology and toxicology at the Universitty of Ulm. During this time he gained wide experience in pharmacology and toxicology of medicines and environmental toxicity.

In 1987 Dr. Franz Janik started his carrier in pharmaceutical industry at the L.A.B. GmbH & CoKG in Neu-Ulm, which was one of the first German contract research organisations including bio-analytics. In 1990 he achieved the position of the head of the hormone research department at the L.A.B. GmbH & CoKG. In this position Dr. Franz Janik was responsible for the management of bioequivalence, bioavailability and first administration to man studies. In the course of the "Product Life Cycle Management" he also gained experience with different application forms of new medical products. His customers ranged from generic producers to international pharmaceutical companies. Besides project management Dr. Franz Janik was also responsible for the financial controlling of these studies. Since end of the eighties, he gained experience in the practical application of international standards like Good Clinical Practice during planning and performing of clinical studies. Since more than 15 years Dr. Franz Janik is now successfully engaged in the early stage of clinical development satisfying his clients.

From 1996 to 1997 Dr. Franz Janik was employee of Boehringer Ingelheim Pharma KG. He was medically and scientifically responsible for herbal products and analgesics produced by this company. Since 1997 he is working with AAI Deutschland GmbH in the business development department. He started as "Technical Director Clinical Studies" and achieved later the title "Senior Technical Director Clinical Studies". Besides consulting of clients on concepts in different areas of indication during the planning phase of clinical studies he is also responsible for project management.

In July 2005 Dr. Franz Janik founded INNOPHAR Innovative Pharma Research Eastern Europe GmbH together with Dr. Karl M. Eckl and became Executive Director and Director Business Development of INNOPHAR Innovative Pharma Research Eastern Europe GmbH.
