Dr. Karl M. Eckl
Dr. Karl M. Eckl born in 1950 at Langenau, Germany finished his university training in 1984 with the academic degrees of a physicist (speciality biophysics) and a medical doctor (MD). Since 1979 he was assistant lecturer in the department of biophysics and from 1984 to 1985 assistant lecturer in the department of experimental pathology at the University of Ulm, Germany. During this time he gained profound knowledge in biophysical methods and in the mathematical description of molecular interaction in artificial and biological membranes. In 1985 Dr. Karl M. Eckl started his carrier in pharmaceutical industry in the Research Institute for Clinical Pharmacology of Becham-Wülfing GmbH in Neuss, Germany. After the merger with SmithKline & French to SmithKline Beecham he achieved the position of the deputy director of the Research Institute for Clinical Pharmacology of SmithKline Beecham at Neuss. During his carrier in pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Karl M. Eckl was involved in international development programs of new chemical entities through all clinical phases. Since the mid eighties he is familiar with the implementation and practical performance of Good Clinical Practice standards. Based on his scientific- and medical background he developed boundary condition based skills for the conduction of clinical trials especially in the early stage of clinical research.
After the management buy-out of the Research Institute for Clinical Pharmacology of SmithKline Beecham into FOCUS GmbH in 1992, he founded Pharm PlanNet Contract Research GmbH together with Dr. Torben Thomsen an experienced clinical pharmacologist. From 1993 to 2000 Dr. Karl M. Eckl was Medical Director of Pharm PlanNet Contract Research GmbH and in 2000 he became Director of Pharm PlanNet Contract Research-Ukraine a 100% affiliation of the German company in Ukraine. In 2004 this company was restructured into a private clinic and Dr. Karl M. Eckl became director of Pharm PlanNet-Ukraine Clinic Ltd. the first private clinic in Ukraine specialised and exclusively used for clinical research.
In July 2005 Dr. Karl M. Eckl left Pharm PlanNet Contract Research to found
INNOPHAR
Innovative Pharma Research Eastern Europe GmbH together with Dr. Franz Janik. Dr. Karl M. Eckl became Executive and Medical Directior of
INNOPHAR
Innovative Pharma Research GmbH.
